Ever wondered how it feels to be at the launch event of a renowned multinational clothing brand? No? I will tell you how it does. Swedish Multinational Hennes& Mauritz AB (H&M), the second largest clothing brand, opened up its first ever store in India on October 2 and it was a jam packed event. It is as exciting to hear as it was to witness the launch, among loud music and crowd frenzy. H&M, a gigantic name in the world of fashion, attracted not only the public but also the big names in the Indian fashion industry to the event.
Shooting for the event was not less than a dream come true for me and my team. So it goes like this. Shoot a video of such an extravaganza and also cover my own city. Nothing could have gotten better than this for me. Complete job satisfaction. People were bouncing off the walls to grab the first collection in the Indian Store of H&M and for that they queued up outside the store at as early as 4 in the morning. So what makes H&M so special? Excellent quality of clothes and accessories at a very reasonable price. Perfect for India. And also not to forget the first few customers were given gift vouchers and goodie bags.
The launch day was no less than a Bollywood party. DJs playing music, Bollywood celebrities like Ranvir Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon, Tammanna Bhatia and many more walking on the red carpet, fashion designers and models showing up to have a look on the clothing and the crowd cheering up on the top of their voices. Do I need to say more about how crazy it was out there?
Not been at the launch? You missed something. Don’t feel envious and go grab your own collection of H&M outfits.
It was such a fun experience for me and my team to shoot the entire 3-days launch event. Also I would like to thank my team for being co-operative and working hard to make the video a success.  It is the best job I can ever think of.
